Penetrations
A pipe collar, vent or other opening needs a sealed connection that directs water onto the covering. Its base, overlap and surrounding shingles matter together.
Find the route rain is taking and repair the roof detail that lets it in.

A drip can arrive after water has traveled along decking or framing. We examine likely entry points above and around the affected area, including valleys, wall connections, plumbing vents and damaged covering. An interior stain and an exterior opening do not have to line up.
The repair restores the failed detail and its connection to the roof around it. At a wall, that can mean opening enough covering to rebuild flashing overlaps. Around a pipe, it can mean replacing a deteriorated boot rather than repeatedly coating the split. Sound support and compatible adjoining material determine how local the repair can remain.

These details carry or redirect water. Failed laps or flashing can send rain beneath the covering even when most shingles look intact.
Deteriorated decking beneath the opening must be addressed before fastening the repair. The visible leak size does not measure that damage.

| Scope factor | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Detail opened | A valley or wall connection can involve more disassembly than replacing a local boot. |
| Surrounding covering | Workable adjoining shingles and compatible replacements keep the connection repairable. |
| Water damage | The roof repair and any interior or separate trade repairs have different scopes. |
Wind direction and water volume can expose a connection that sheds an ordinary shower. Tell us what you already noticed; we handle the roof-side investigation.
A compatible sealant has a role in certain details or temporary protection. It cannot replace missing flashing, deteriorated support or a failed assembly.
Call and say it is active. Stay off the roof and clear of wet electrical fixtures or a sagging ceiling.
